I knew I wanted to major in Business/Economics so I really focused my application on that, and really emphasized the extra-curriculars I did in high school that were business related. I also asked my interviewer a lot of questions about the Economics major at Drew and the school itself - showing a strong interest in the school, having some knowledge about what the school offers, and having some idea what I would do in college always helps in an interview.

My graduated in the top 10% of my high school class. My SAT Scores were good, but not great (although Drew doesn't look at SAT scores now). Extra-curriculars are important at Drew. I played soccer in high school and I was involved with various clubs (Young Democrats, HS TV station). I did a lot of volunteer work with inner-city kids as well, which I think helped with my admission to Drew.

I got into Drew by having B+ and A- grades, and all my classes were IB classes. I chose Drew because of the SAT option, which allowed me to send a paper from my English class that I did well in. This allowed the University to see my skills and talents through my work, and not through a score on the SATS
